In the summer of 1970, half a million people packed a Georgia soybean field and witnessed one of the most electric moments in rock history, Jimi Hendrix, the Allman Brothers, and the full force of the counterculture movement all in one place. The footage was thought to be gone forever. It wasn't. This June, Pullman Yards in Atlanta becomes a full-blown time warp: part immersive experience, part music history resurrection, part straight-up good time. You'll walk through rooms filled with never-before-seen footage from the actual festival, feel the heat of that era crackling around you, and then spill out into a world of vintage shopping, live music, roller skating, and spontaneous moments that have absolutely no equivalent in 2026.
It's loud, it's visual, it's deeply cool, and it's happening right here in the city where it all went down first.
What to expect:
- Lost footage, found: Wander through curated rooms showcasing rare, never-before-seen film from the real 1970 Atlanta International Pop Music Festival. It hits different when you know it almost didn't survive.
- Live music and DJ sets: The energy doesn't stop. Expect live bands and DJ sets keeping the whole space buzzing from start to finish.
- Vintage shopping: Dig through curated vintage finds and leave with something you'll actually wear. The fits here are part of the experience.
- Flash tattoos: An on-site tattoo artist is ready to give you a permanent souvenir. Totally optional, completely tempting.
- Food truck vibes: Grab a bite from on-site food trucks and keep the night going. Non-alcoholic beverages available too.
- Indoor and outdoor spaces: The event spans both, so you can move freely, explore at your own pace, and find your favorite corner of the 70s.
- All ages welcome: Bring the whole crew. This one's for everyone.
Fifty-five years later, Atlanta gets to relive it, don't be the person who missed it twice.
