About

About This Program

Emergency rent and utility help to prevent eviction for Fulton County and City of Atlanta families with a child in local public schools.

BCM Georgia (formerly Buckhead Christian Ministry), a Christian nonprofit serving since 1987, runs an Emergency Assistance Program that helps Fulton County and City of Atlanta residents avoid eviction and utility disconnection during a temporary crisis such as illness, job loss, a death in the family or divorce. Under eligibility rules effective May 4, 2026, the household must have at least one school-age child enrolled in Fulton County Schools or Atlanta Public Schools, among other requirements. Apply online with digital copies of all documents. A case manager reviews them within 48 hours and emails you to schedule a virtual intake, ask for missing items, or decline. If no appointment slots show online, BCM is at capacity; check back later or call 211. Help is limited to once every 12 months and twice in five years, and the amount depends on funding and need. BCM does not pay late fees or other penalties, and its office does not take walk-ins.
