About

About This Program

Up to $60,000 in down payment help for Atlanta Housing voucher holders buying a home in the City of Atlanta. No waiting list or application.

Bridging the Gap to Homeownership is Atlanta Housing's down payment assistance program for current Atlanta Housing Housing Choice Voucher participants, providing up to $60,000. The assistance has no monthly payment and can reduce the loan amount, pay closing costs, buy down the interest rate, or a combination. It can be combined with other local down payment assistance if Atlanta Housing and the lender approve, but it cannot be used to pay off existing debts. There is no waiting list, pre-registration or separate application: eligible participants start with a lender in Atlanta Housing's participating lender network. If married, both spouses' incomes count. Non-occupant co-borrowers and co-signers are not allowed.
