About

About This Program

No-cost home repairs that help low-income senior and veteran homeowners in Atlanta keep their homes warm, safe and dry.

House Proud Atlanta, a nonprofit that began in 1992 as Community Redevelopment Inc., provides no-cost home repairs for low-income senior and veteran homeowners so they can stay in their homes. Repairs focus on keeping homes warm (heating and cooling repair and replacement, thermostats, energy efficiency), safe (exterior handrails, steps and porches, minor electrical work, rotted wood) and dry (plumbing leaks, fascia and soffit, ADA grab bars and toilets, exterior paint). The work is done with volunteers, contractors and sponsors, often on Community Improvement Days. House Proud's website does not post an application or intake dates; it says its team works with local leaders and community groups to identify homeowners in need. Contact House Proud to ask about help.
