About

About This Program

Health and safety home repairs for low-income senior, veteran and disabled homeowners. Smyrna program open; Atlanta roof program closed.

Rebuilding Together Atlanta is a nonprofit that makes health and safety home repairs for low-income senior, veteran and disabled homeowners in the City of Atlanta, the City of Smyrna and the Atlanta metro area. Its programs differ in status. The City of Atlanta Roof Replacement Program is not accepting applications because of cuts in program funding for FY 2025-2026. The City of Smyrna Home Repair Program is accepting new Smyrna applicants. The Rebuild House Sponsorship Program, which uses volunteers and contractors for repairs such as flooring, plumbing, painting, electrical, heating and cooling, windows and landscaping, has a long waitlist. Because of demand and limited funding, homeowners are contacted only after an application is approved and funding is available. An on-site needs assessment comes before any work, and repairs must address health and safety, not cosmetic needs.
