A dog park, a timber tower, and a council vote 240 miles away
Happy Wednesday, Atlanta. It has been a busy one. One of Buckhead Village's favorite dog parks may be on borrowed time. Jamestown filed plans this month for a 19-story timber tower with nearly 300 apartments on the corner Fetch Park occupies today. Trading a beloved off-leash park and bar for a high-rise gets a neighborhood talking, and it is not the only block Atlanta is rewriting this week. New units are landing in Blandtown, English Avenue saved some affordable housing, and College Park's council raised eyebrows with a vote held 240 miles away in Savannah. Here is what we're watching this week.
