About

About This Program

Free phone help from certified counselors who connect older adults, people with disabilities and caregivers in metro Atlanta to services.

Empowerline is the Atlanta Regional Commission's free information and referral service for aging, disability and caregiver needs. Certified counselors help callers understand their options and connect them to privately and publicly funded services from more than 26,000 community providers. It serves the City of Atlanta and Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry and Rockdale counties. Contacting Empowerline costs nothing; the cost of services depends on the service and your finances. People who meet low-income rules may get services at no cost or reduced cost after a 30- to 45-minute screening, and may be placed on a needs-based waiting list for publicly funded services.
