About

About This Program

Volunteer-run critical home repairs and accessibility changes for low-income homeowners in Gwinnett County and north Fulton cities.

Home Repairs Ministries, a volunteer-powered Christian nonprofit based in Duluth, provides critical home repairs and modifications for low-income older adults, widows, veterans, single mothers and people with disabilities, including accessibility changes that help seniors age in place. It provides the supplies, tools and volunteers. Its current service area is all of Gwinnett County plus Johns Creek, Milton, Sandy Springs (north of I-285), Alpharetta, Roswell and Mountain Park, and it changes with volunteer capacity. Help is not first come, first served: homeowners are chosen by level of need, considering who lives in the home, how income affects their ability to pay for repairs, and the volunteers and funding each project needs. Approved applicants go on a waiting list.
