About

About This Program

Invest Atlanta programs offer $10,000 to $30,000 toward buying a home inside Atlanta city limits, depending on the program and neighborhood.

Invest Atlanta, the City of Atlanta's development authority, runs five homebuyer assistance programs for homes inside Atlanta city limits: ATL HomeNOW (up to $20,000, forgiven after 10 years); ATL Home Renovation Advantage ($10,000 with a renovation loan, forgiven after 5 years); the Beltline Mortgage Assistance Program (up to $30,000 for civil servants and legacy residents or up to $20,000 for other buyers, in Beltline TAD subareas 1, 2, 3, 8, 9 and 10); the Perry Bolton Mortgage Assistance Program ($10,000 or $20,000 in the Perry Bolton TAD, forgiven after 5 years); and the Vine City Renaissance Initiative ($20,000, forgiven after 5 years). The steps: attend a mandatory 90-minute homebuyer Q&A session (in person or online), complete homebuyer education with a participating educator, get qualified with a participating lender, find a home and get it under contract, and close with a participating closing attorney. Income limits, price or loan limits and credit rules differ by program.
