About

About This Program

Report housing discrimination and get free homebuyer and rental counseling from a fair housing nonprofit serving metro Atlanta.

Metro Fair Housing Services, a civil rights nonprofit founded in 1974, works to end housing and lending discrimination. Its Housing Discrimination Help Line takes complaints and gives information, referrals and counseling. It also investigates and tests alleged Fair Housing Act violations, refers cases to agencies and private attorneys, and pursues enforcement. Its HUD-approved housing counseling is free and includes pre-purchase homebuyer education workshops, pre-purchase counseling, rental and budget counseling, and fair housing and fair lending education. Enforcement and outreach cover Cherokee, Cobb, DeKalb, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett and Hall counties, and it takes housing discrimination complaints from anywhere in Georgia.
