About

About This Program

Georgia Tech's APEX Accelerator gives Georgia businesses free one-on-one government contracting counseling and its BidMatch bid alert service.

The GT APEX Accelerator at the Georgia Institute of Technology has helped Georgia-based businesses get ready for, compete for and win government contracts since 1985, at no cost to them. Clients get a regional procurement counselor and the BidMatch service. Counselors help with SAM.gov and state and local vendor registrations, market research and finding opportunities, reading solicitations, preparing and reviewing bids and proposals, specifications and pricing, electronic invoicing, and post-award contract management. To become a client, attend the Introduction to Government Contracting class, fill out the free New Client Application, then schedule an appointment with your regional counselor. Working with the APEX Accelerator does not guarantee a contract; on average it takes 12 to 18 months to win a first government contract. It does not help with loans or grants. The program is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of War.
