About

About This Program

The Latin American Association's ¡Avanzando Juntas! program helps women entrepreneurs plan, launch and grow businesses, with monthly starter classes.

The Latin American Association (LAA), a nonprofit serving Georgia's Latino community, runs ¡Avanzando Juntas!, an economic empowerment program for women entrepreneurs with offices in Atlanta and Dalton. Women start with two preliminary classes offered once a month (¿Estás lista para iniciar tu negocio? and Presupuesto y Crédito), then can take Planifica tu Negocio, a course on business fundamentals, and Digitaliza Tu Negocio, a course on online presence and sales. A Business Center Accelerator adds access to capital, technical assistance and one-on-one mentorships. The program was created in 2014 with Coca-Cola Foundation funding and has reached over 15,000 women. LAA's wider economic empowerment work also includes ESL and computer courses, microloans and career events.
