About

About This Program

Newton County posts its bids on Bonfire. Vendors send the County a vendor packet and W-9, and the County has a minority- and women-owned business policy.

Newton County's Purchasing Department, part of Financial Administration, buys goods and services for County departments and invites all qualified vendors to compete for its solicitations. Open, pending and closed bids are on the County's Bonfire portal, and Bonfire's help pages explain how to register and submit a bid. If you download a bid from the County's own bid page, email the Purchasing Coordinator so you get addenda and answers; otherwise you can't challenge the bid process. Vendors submit a vendor packet and W-9 to the Purchasing Department, and the page links to E-Verify enrollment. The County has a Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprise policy and links to the State's minority business certification and GDOT's DBE program.
