About

About This Program

Free hiring help and training funds for Atlanta employers, including up to 75% wage reimbursement for eligible new hires during on-the-job training.

WorkSource Atlanta, an American Job Center serving the City of Atlanta, helps employers recruit and train workers at no cost. Its On-the-Job Training program reimburses 50% to 75% of an eligible new hire's wages, depending on company size, for up to six months; the employer must hire the person after training. Incumbent Worker Training helps cover training for current staff to stay competitive or avoid layoffs; Customized Training is designed with employers, who commit to hiring graduates and may be reimbursed for half the training cost; and work experience placements cover participants' pay for up to 40 hours a week for up to 16 weeks. It also offers pre-screened candidates, monthly job fairs and hiring events, interview space, Work Opportunity Tax Credit information and layoff support. Job seekers can get career services and, if eligible under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), up to two years of training.
