About This Short
The project will keep a modernized, fully functional fire station on the ground floor and add a 26-story residential tower with 282 apartments on top.
Affordable Housing Breakdown:
• 86 units (30% of total) will be affordable
• 57 units for households making 50% Area Median Income (AMI) (~20% of all units)
• 29 units for households making 80% AMI (~10% of all units)
• Remaining units will be market rate
Project Cost: $155M
Funding: $85M tax-exempt bond approved by Invest Atlanta Projected
Completion: 2028
Projected rents for the affordable units aren’t final, but early estimates give a good idea of what 50% and 80% AMI pricing could look like. With Midtown’s sky-high rents, these units could be a big deal for residents wanting to live near Piedmont Park without paying luxury prices.
Do you think this is the right balance between growth and affordability in Midtown Atlanta?
