Westview Waited Two Decades for Enota Park. The Finish Line Keeps Moving.

Enota Park is not a new idea in Westview. The idea traces back to a 2004 Beltline planning study. Property acquisition happened in 2007 and 2009. Then came years of planning, assembling land and designing the project, and construction finally started in April 2025.

The finished park is planned to cover about eight acres and connect Westview more directly with the Beltline. The plans include a boardwalk, a lawn, play areas, half-court basketball and other public spaces. The Atlanta Beltline says it is working toward completing all three sections by late fall 2026.

That is the part I would hold loosely. This project has already dealt with schedule changes and weather delays, so late fall is a target rather than an opening day you can put on a calendar. Two decades of planning tells you something about how a park like this actually arrives, which is slowly, in sections, with the date adjusting as the work does.

What I keep coming back to is that the waiting was the hard part and most of it is behind Westview. The land is assembled. The construction is underway. Eight acres that were a line in a study when a lot of us were doing something else entirely are turning into a boardwalk and a basketball court, and the neighborhood that was promised this park is close enough to start deciding what it wants to do there first.
